About Me

Vanessa Churchill BSc (Hons) DC LHom

Professionally

Healthcare has always been close to me as my mother was a nurse.  I have always worked in the health sector, initially in an admin role.  Later on, I wanted to be hands-on so I learned massage and the use of essential oils.  A few years afterwards I studied chiropractic and in 1999 I became a McTimoney chiropractor.  I later qualified in homeopathy.  From 2002 until 2019 I ran my own clinic in Chandlers Ford. I now see chiropractic patients  at Wellow Fitness Centre in Romsey.

In addition to my chiropractic training and homeopathy studies, I have undertaken many hours of postgraduate study.  This includes craniosacral therapy, Applied Kinesiology (AK) and nutrition.  AK is a diagnostic method that can be used to help evaluate the body on a structural, biochemical and emotional level using manual muscle testing.  Above all, the knowledge that I have acquired through AK has given me a greater understanding of how to support chronic health problems as a homeopath.

I have a Licentiate in Homeopathy from the College of Practical Homeopathy.  In addition, I also hold a BSc (Hons) in Chiropractic and a Diploma of Chiropractic.

My homeopathy practice is in Whiteparish, between Romsey and Salisbury which is on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border.  I see patients there in person and I also offer online appointments.

Personally

I used homeopathy for many years before becoming a homeopath.  It’s gentle and natural way of healing aligns with my long-held belief of supporting the body’s own healing mechanisms during illness.

I have three grown up children and three grandchildren so I am familiar with all that goes with being a parent and grandparent.  Importantly, I can also relate to the problems many women face during their changing hormone cycles as well as menopause. These, together with pregnancy and childbirth, present potential disturbances that may be supported with homeopathy.

The personal experiences of my own life have generated a particular interested for me in helping other women with female issues.

My own philosophy on health is that of balance.  This is often seen as the core of nature approaches to health anyway.  Moreover, health is when all levels are in tune including the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of the body.

An Overview

What is Homeopathy

Homeopathy works to restore balance through the use of very dilute substances.  It has been used for over two hundred years and is the second largest medical system in the world.

I will listen.  You story is important and individual to you.  Homeopathy is about the whole person, how you arrived at where you are today and where you want to be.

Appointments are either in person at Plum Cottage near Salisbury or online, according to your preference (Government guidelines permitting).
